Konits began photographing herself with an obsolete professional instant camera, that had gone unused for almost thirty years, and expired film after finding it, unused, at the bottom of her studio closet. The camera allowed slow, meditative self-portraits in sunlight and shadow, within and between rooms and the surrounding landscape. Partial Japanese fold binding, with the inner pockets printed in yellow and blue ink to give the paper a warm or cool appearance.
